Detailed answer
AIDAblu was built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, and entered service in 2010. AIDA gives it a length of 252 metres, 14 decks and 1,100 guest cabins; its gross tonnage is 71,304 and it carries a crew of about 607. AIDA sells the ship to German-speaking holidaymakers, and German is the language used with guests on board. Highlights include the Rossini gourmet restaurant, the Anytime Bar, the Body & Soul Organic Spa, an art gallery and a jogging track with sea views, among 8 restaurants and 13 bars and clubs. AIDA plans to send AIDAblu to Marseille between Sunday 24 January 2027 and Sunday 14 March 2027 for a major refit adding new restaurants, a Panorama Bar and six new suites.
How busy will town be?
The upcoming visits listed on this page show the passengers expected on each call and any other ships in port the same day. Town is busiest when several ships are in at once or a large ship arrives at a weekend. A ship carrying a few hundred passengers makes little difference on its own.
Can you sail on it from nearby?
Yes. The November 2026 call falls during a seven-night one-way voyage from Barcelona to Gran Canaria leaving on Sunday 1 November 2026, and the ship reaches Barcelona on an eight-night sailing from Corfu that starts on Saturday 24 October 2026. Over the winter it sails seven-night Canary Islands round trips from Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, ending with a Gran Canaria to Palma voyage from Sunday 17 January 2027 to Sunday 24 January 2027. In autumn 2027 it finishes its Mediterranean season in Palma and leaves Palma for Cape Town on Thursday 4 November 2027. Bookings are made through AIDA's German-language channels.
