Detailed answer

Artania was built at the Wärtsilä yard in Helsinki and entered service in November 1984 as Royal Princess, named by Diana, Princess of Wales. It later sailed as P&O Cruises' Artemis and joined Phoenix Reisen in 2011. Phoenix gives it a tonnage of 44,500, a length of 231 metres and 1,200 passengers, with every cabin facing outside. In November 2024 it spent nearly a month at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven on a 20 million euro refit, which added balconies, redesigned the Artania Restaurant and opened Pichler's speciality restaurant. Other features are Harry's Bar, the Panorama-Pazifik lounge, two pool areas and a full wraparound promenade. Phoenix sells to German-speaking travellers and is known for long world voyages.

How busy will town be?

The upcoming visits listed on this page show the passengers expected on each call and any other ships in port the same day. Town is busiest when several ships are in at once or a large ship arrives at a weekend. A ship carrying a few hundred passengers makes little difference on its own.

Can you sail on it from nearby?

No sailings starting or ending at Malaga, Cadiz, Seville, Barcelona, Lisbon, Southampton, Valencia or Palma were found for 2026 or 2027. This call is on a voyage that leaves Genoa on Thursday 29 October 2026 for Colón in Panama, part of a world voyage. Its 2027 European summer sailings start from Bremerhaven and Kiel.
