Detailed answer
Azamara Onward was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire in France and entered service in December 1999 as R Three. From 2002 to 2021 it sailed for Princess Cruises as Pacific Princess. Princess sold the ship in 2021 and it joined Azamara in 2022. It has a gross tonnage of 30,277, a length of 181 metres, 688 guests in lower berths and a crew of 373. Azamara presents it as a small ship that can dock where larger ships cannot, with seven restaurants, cafés and lounges, a pool, a spa and The Living Room lounge for talks, music and tapas. A White Night deck party is held at least once on every cruise. A two-week refit is planned for November 2027.
How busy will town be?
The upcoming visits listed on this page show the passengers expected on each call and any other ships in port the same day. Town is busiest when several ships are in at once or a large ship arrives at a weekend. A ship carrying a few hundred passengers makes little difference on its own.
Can you sail on it from nearby?
Yes, often. Azamara Onward is listed from Barcelona to Lisbon from Saturday 7 November 2026, from Lisbon to Barcelona from Tuesday 17 November 2026, and on further voyages starting or ending in Barcelona and Lisbon through December 2026 and January 2027. On Saturday 6 February 2027 it leaves Lisbon for Malaga, then sails from Malaga to Barcelona from Saturday 13 February 2027. More Barcelona sailings follow in spring and summer 2027, and in December 2027 it sails from Malaga to Miami.
