Detailed answer
Carnival Freedom is a Conquest-class ship built by Fincantieri in Italy and delivered in February 2007. Carnival gives it a gross tonnage of 110,000, room for 2,980 guests and a crew of 1,150. It is a family ship, with the WaterWorks water park and slides, three youth spaces including Camp Ocean, the Serenity adult-only retreat, Guy's Burger Joint and the BlueIguana Cantina. It has just come out of a 35-day dry dock in Marseille, where it received a new funnel and a redesigned casino.
How busy will town be?
The upcoming visits listed on this page show the passengers expected on each call and any other ships in port the same day. Town is busiest when several ships are in at once or a large ship arrives at a weekend. A ship carrying a few hundred passengers makes little difference on its own.
Can you sail on it from nearby?
Not after this crossing. Carnival Freedom then sails from Port Canaveral and, from May 2027, from Norfolk, Virginia. No further European sailings are listed for 2027.
