The Gibraltar Music Festival is the Rock's largest pop and rock festival, first held in 2012. After a gap, it returned in 2026 as the smaller Gibraltar Music Festival Summer Sessions, held over three days in early September at the Europa Sports Complex.
The Gibraltar Music Festival was launched by the Government of Gibraltar in September 2012 at the Victoria Stadium and became the largest music event on the Rock, attracting international headline acts. From 2017 it was run in partnership with MTV UK and branded MTV Presents Gibraltar Calling. The large-scale festival was last held before 2020. In 2026 the Government reintroduced a smaller format, the Gibraltar Music Festival Summer Sessions, held from 3 to 5 September 2026 at the Europa Sports Complex with international and local acts on several stages, in the run-up to National Day. It was organised with Visit Gibraltar and local promoters. Future dates and line-ups are announced by the Government and Visit Gibraltar, typically in early summer.
