Is there an Apple Store in Gibraltar?
Short answer
No. Gibraltar has no Apple-run Apple Store, but Newton Store at 212 Main Street is an Apple Authorised Reseller and Apple Authorised Service Provider that sells and repairs Apple products. The nearest Apple Store is in La Cañada, Marbella, in Spain.
Detailed answer
Gibraltar does not have an Apple Store run by Apple. The Apple specialist in Gibraltar is Newton Store (Newton Systems), at 212 Main Street, towards the southern end of Main Street near Marks and Spencer.
Newton is an Apple Authorised Reseller and an Apple Authorised Service Provider. It sells Macs, iPads, iPhones, Apple Watch and accessories, has a showroom with Mac products on display, and describes itself as the only store in Gibraltar certified to repair Apple products, with Apple-certified technicians. Repairs and support can be booked by appointment through its website, newton.gi, which also lists pricing and stock.
Opening hours published by Newton are Monday to Thursday 9am to 6pm, Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm. It is closed on Sundays and on Gibraltar public holidays, so cruise passengers calling on a Sunday will find it shut. Check the website before visiting, as hours can change.
The nearest Apple Store run by Apple is Apple La Cañada, in the Parque Comercial La Cañada shopping centre in Marbella, Spain, along the coast to the east of Gibraltar. It opened in 2011 and has a Genius Bar. Getting there means crossing the border into Spain, so allow time for the frontier as well as the drive.
If you buy Apple products in Gibraltar and take them into Spain or back to the UK, customs allowances apply. These are covered in our separate FAQs on purchases taken from Gibraltar into the EU and the UK.
