Detailed answer

Mein Schiff 5 was built by Meyer Turku in Finland and delivered on Tuesday 21 June 2016. It has a gross tonnage of 98,785, a length of about 295 metres, 2,534 beds in 1,267 cabins and a crew of about 1,000. TUI Cruises sells the Mein Schiff fleet to the German-speaking market as a premium, all-inclusive product, with kids' clubs and a teen lounge for families. The ship has 12 restaurants and bistros, 13 bars and lounges, and a large X-Lounge. In January 2026 it spent 11 days in a Dubai shipyard, where public areas, bars and restaurants were refreshed and the 25-metre pool and lagoon pool were redesigned.

How busy will town be?

The upcoming visits listed on this page show the passengers expected on each call and any other ships in port the same day. Town is busiest when several ships are in at once or a large ship arrives at a weekend. A ship carrying a few hundred passengers makes little difference on its own.

Can you sail on it from nearby?

Yes. Mein Schiff 5 leaves Palma on Monday 26 October 2026 on a 16-night crossing to La Romana in the Dominican Republic, calling at Gibraltar, Las Palmas and Mindelo. It then sails from Palma to Heraklion on Thursday 8 April 2027 and from Palma to Cape Town on Friday 5 November 2027. Cruises are sold mainly through German-language channels.
