Detailed answer

Norwegian Star was built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, and made its maiden voyage in 2001. Norwegian Cruise Line gives it a gross tonnage of 91,740, a length of 294 metres, 2,298 guests at double occupancy and a crew of 1,031. It is aimed at all ages, with youth clubs alongside an adults-only Spice H2O area, a Thermal Suite, the Stardust Theatre and restaurants such as Cagney's Steakhouse, Le Bistro and La Cucina. The ship was last refurbished in 2021.

How busy will town be?

The upcoming visits listed on this page show the passengers expected on each call and any other ships in port the same day. Town is busiest when several ships are in at once or a large ship arrives at a weekend. A ship carrying a few hundred passengers makes little difference on its own.

Can you sail on it from nearby?

Norwegian Star spends winter 2026 to 2027 on the west coast of Mexico. In spring 2027 it is listed returning to Europe, with sailings from Lisbon and a season of round trips from Southampton from May to October 2027. Confirm dates with Norwegian Cruise Line before planning.
