Detailed answer

Silver Nova was built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, and began sailing for Silversea in August 2023 as the first of its Nova class. Silversea gives a gross tonnage of 54,700, room for 728 guests in suites and a crew of 544; the ship is about 243 metres long. Silversea sells it as a luxury, all-inclusive ship with butler service. Its asymmetric design opens public rooms to the sea, and it has eight restaurants, including the S.A.L.T. Kitchen and Chef's Table, the French La Dame and the Japanese Kaiseki, as well as the Otium Spa, the open-air Dusk Bar and the largest pool deck in the fleet. It uses LNG, fuel cells and batteries to cut emissions in port.

How busy will town be?

The upcoming visits listed on this page show the passengers expected on each call and any other ships in port the same day. Town is busiest when several ships are in at once or a large ship arrives at a weekend. A ship carrying a few hundred passengers makes little difference on its own.

Can you sail on it from nearby?

Yes. Silversea lists Silver Nova from Civitavecchia to Barcelona from Monday 23 November 2026, then from Barcelona to Lisbon from Monday 30 November 2026 to Wednesday 9 December 2026, which is the voyage that brings it to Gibraltar. It then sails from Lisbon to Bridgetown in Barbados. In 2027 it sails from Lisbon to Civitavecchia from Tuesday 6 April 2027, Civitavecchia to Barcelona and back in November 2027, and Civitavecchia to Lisbon from Sunday 21 November 2027.
