Detailed answer
Sirena was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire in France and entered service in 1999 as R Four for Renaissance Cruises. It later sailed for Princess Cruises as Tahitian Princess and Ocean Princess, and joined Oceania Cruises in 2016 after a refit in Marseille. Oceania gives a tonnage of 30,277, a length of 593.7 feet (181 metres) and 337 suites and staterooms; the ship carries about 688 guests at double occupancy with a crew of about 373. Oceania sells it as a small ship with a casually elegant style and its 'finest cuisine at sea' promise, with fully renewed suites and staterooms, a pool deck with a walking track and a martini bar. In September 2026 Ambassador Cruise Line bought the ship. Oceania will keep sailing it under lease until spring 2028, after which it is due to become Ambella, an adults-only ship for German-speaking guests.
How busy will town be?
The upcoming visits listed on this page show the passengers expected on each call and any other ships in port the same day. Town is busiest when several ships are in at once or a large ship arrives at a weekend. A ship carrying a few hundred passengers makes little difference on its own.
Can you sail on it from nearby?
Yes. Sirena sails from Barcelona to Lisbon from Wednesday 9 December 2026, which is the voyage that calls at Gibraltar, followed by Lisbon to Civitavecchia from Monday 21 December 2026. In 2027 it is listed on voyages starting or ending in Lisbon, Barcelona and Southampton, including Lisbon to Southampton from Wednesday 25 August 2027. From spring 2028 the ship passes to Ambassador.
