Detailed answer
Star Legend was built by Schichau Seebeckwerft in Bremerhaven, Germany, and entered service in 1992 as Royal Viking Queen. It later sailed as Queen Odyssey and Seabourn Legend before joining Windstar in 2015. In 2021 Fincantieri in Palermo lengthened the ship with a new midsection, adding 50 suites, new restaurants and a larger pool and spa. Windstar gives a tonnage of 12,995, a length of 159 metres, 312 guests and 200 crew. Every suite faces the sea and all dining is included, from the Yacht Club café to the Basil + Bamboo restaurant. There is a water-access marina at the stern, a spa with a free sauna, hot tubs on deck, and the ship is small enough to pass through the Corinth Canal.
How busy will town be?
The upcoming visits listed on this page show the passengers expected on each call and any other ships in port the same day. Town is busiest when several ships are in at once or a large ship arrives at a weekend. A ship carrying a few hundred passengers makes little difference on its own.
Can you sail on it from nearby?
Yes, in autumn 2026. Windstar's 2026 Spanish Mystery Cruise sails from Barcelona to Malaga from Wednesday 4 November 2026 to Thursday 12 November 2026, and voyages from Istanbul and Piraeus end in Barcelona on Wednesday 4 November 2026. From Malaga the ship then crosses the Atlantic to Barbados, leaving on Thursday 12 November 2026, for a winter in the Caribbean and Central America. Check Windstar for its 2027 European voyages.
