Can I fly a drone in Gibraltar?

Short answer

Not without a permit. Because the whole of Gibraltar is treated as a highly congested area next to an active airport, every drone, including those under 250g, needs prior permission from the Gibraltar Civil Aviation Authority.

Detailed answer

All drones, including those under 250g, need permission to fly outdoors in Gibraltar.

Why

The whole territory is treated as a highly congested area beside an active airport, and drones can disturb protected birds and macaques.
