Detailed answer
The Gibraltar Cavalcade is the parade that takes place every year on the 5th of January, the eve of the Feast of the Three Kings. It has been a fixture of local life since 1957 and remains one of Gibraltar’s most cherished community traditions. The event brings together floats designed by local schools, clubs and organisations, accompanied by marching bands and performers, all making their way down Main Street in a vibrant procession. Crowds of families line the route, with children especially excited for the traditional shower of sweets handed out along the way. The Cavalcade is both festive and deeply rooted in local culture, marking the end of the Christmas season with a celebration that links generations and keeps alive the sense of togetherness that defines Gibraltar.
