Can I get a bus to Gibraltar from Seville, Cádiz or Algeciras?

Short answer

There are no long-distance buses that enter Gibraltar itself. Coaches from Spanish cities terminate at the bus station in La Línea de la Concepción, a short walk from the border, and you then cross into Gibraltar on foot.

Detailed answer

No intercity coaches enter Gibraltar itself. Buses from Spanish cities stop at La Línea de la Concepción, the town across the border.

  1. Take a coach to La Línea bus station (from Algeciras, Cádiz, Seville or elsewhere in Andalucía).
  2. Walk a few minutes to the frontier and cross on foot.
  3. Walk 15 to 20 minutes to Casemates Square, or take the local route 5 bus into town.

Train travellers usually go to Algeciras and take a connecting bus to La Línea. Check operator timetables before you travel, as services vary by season.
