How do I get to Europa Point from the Gibraltar cruise terminal?

Short answer

Walk about 15 minutes from the cruise terminal into town to Market Place, next to Casemates Square, and take bus Route 2, which runs from Market Place to Europa Point. A taxi from the terminal is quicker.

Detailed answer

Europa Point is Gibraltar's southern tip, on the opposite side of the Rock from the cruise terminal on the North Mole.

By bus

• Walk from the cruise terminal to Market Place, next to Casemates Square. The terminal is roughly 1.5 km from town, a walk of about 15 minutes.
• Take Route 2, which runs between the Market Place terminus and the Europa Point terminus. See Gibraltar bus routes and fares.
• Route 2 is popular with visitors at weekends, and the Government has trialled extra buses at busy times.

By taxi

Taxis wait at the cruise terminal and in town. Many Upper Rock taxi tours include a stop at Europa Point.

What to see

• The Trinity House lighthouse, which can sometimes be visited on a guided tour.
• The Ibrahim-al-Ibrahim Mosque.
• Harding's Battery, a restored gun battery.
• On a clear day, views across to Morocco.

Allow at least two hours for the round trip and a look around.
