Smaller private clinics also operate, and cover is usually bought through international insurers such as Bupa, AXA, Cigna, Allianz and APRIL.
GibMed International Hospital: founded as an outpatient clinic in 2008 and now Gibraltar's only private hospital. It provides private GP care, specialist consultations, surgery, and diagnostics including Gibraltar's first private MRI, CT and bone densitometry (DEXA) services, alongside X-ray and ultrasound.
