What airlines fly to Gibraltar?

Airplane at Gibraltar Airport

Short answer

Two airlines fly to Gibraltar: British Airways from London Heathrow, and easyJet from London Gatwick, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham. All scheduled flights are to and from the UK.

Detailed answer

Gibraltar International Airport has scheduled flights to the UK only. As of September 2026, the routes are:

  • British Airways: London Heathrow
  • easyJet: London Gatwick, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham

Frequencies vary by season, and some easyJet routes run only on certain days of the week. Check the Gibraltar Airport timetable or the airline's website before you plan.

No direct flights to Spain or the rest of Europe

There are currently no scheduled flights from Gibraltar to Spain or other European destinations. If you are travelling from elsewhere, the usual alternative is to fly into Malaga on the Costa del Sol and continue by road.

Flying via Malaga

Since 15 July 2026 there have been no routine passport or customs checks at the land border between Spain and Gibraltar, so continuing from Malaga to Gibraltar by road no longer involves a frontier queue. Malaga is also where most flights to Gibraltar land if they have to divert because of strong winds.

Arriving at Gibraltar Airport

Since 15 July 2026, passengers arriving at Gibraltar Airport complete Gibraltar and Schengen entry checks inside the terminal. Once through, you can continue across the land crossing into Spain without a further routine passport check. Gibraltar residents are exempt from the EU's Entry/Exit System.
